Biography

Jean Charlot was a French-American painter and illustrator who played a key role in the Mexican Muralist movement. Born in Paris, he moved to Mexico in 1921 and became part of the artistic renaissance alongside Diego Rivera, José Clemente Orozco, and David Alfaro Siqueiros. His work bridges European modernism with Mexican folk traditions.
